Irma E. Cauley

Irma E. Cauley, of Lucedale, (Hurley) Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her home in Lucedale. She was born May 24, 1929 in Wilmer, Alabama, to Luther L. and Florence Jones Hinton. Mrs. Cauley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved growing and picking blueberries, fishing and crabbing, and made the best fried chicken around. She always tried to feed everyone, even if they weren't hungry. In earlier times, she would sing while her husband played guitar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear husband, J.D. "Demp" Cauley, son, Rocky Cauley, sisters, Nadine Sanders, Rachael Scarbrough, and Marge Cauley. Brothers, Tom Hinton and, Luther H. "Buck" Hinton. Survivors include her sons, Steven Michael (Tena) Cauley, Dempsey Earl (Jerri Ann) Cauley. Daughter in law, Sharon Cauley. Brothers, Charles Hinton, Ben Hinton, and Wayne Hinton. Sisters, Vera Ann Pierce, Lillie Mae Sanderson, and Gay Jones. Grandchildren, Elizabeth Lynn (Joe) Mitchan, Jonathan (Jeannie) Cauley, Christy (Jonathan) Currie, Debbie (J.R.) Mclallen, Bart (Deanna) Cauley, Scott (Wendy) Cauley, Rusty (Jill) Cauley, Adrian (Travis) Bragg, Amanda (Chad) Walters, Jeremy (Jessica) Cauley and Jacob Cauley. 23 Great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Cauley will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, 4007 Main St., Moss Point, MS., 39563. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steven Michael Cauley, Bro. Joe Ivey, and Bro. Tim Cauley officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery, in Pascagoula. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jonathan Cauley, Bart Cauley, Scott Cauley, Rusty Cauley, Jeremy Cauley and Jacob Cauley. Honorary Pallbearers: Dwight Cauley and Jade Cauley. Following the graveside service, lunch will be provided by the Forts Lake Assembly of God Church.
