Keith Hicks

Carmen Keith Hicks, age 49 passed away on September 1st, 2010, at Singing River Hospital. Keith was born on July 22nd.1961, to Gerald and Gerrie Hicks of Pascagoula. Keith worked at Halter Marine as an EMT, Ingalls Shipbuilding in Production Control and Freide Goldman as a Medic for many years. Keith had a passion and love for boxing, he won the Mississippi Golden Gloves Welterweight Division and many other titles. He loved working out and making costumes for different events, and doing Elvis impersonations. He won many contests for Elvis look alikes. He won a trip to Graceland in 1987, competing against 10 other look alikes. He will be sorely missed by all who new him. He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Frazier Hicks Sr., niece, Gina Nicole Cherry,maternal grandparents, Emma Mae Tanner and Daniel Tanner, paternal grandparents, Isaac and Myrtle Hicks. He leaves to cherish his memories to his son, William Hicks and granddaughter Arianna Hicks. mother, Gerrie Hicks; siblings, Regina ( Whaley) Cherry, Champ (Joy) Hicks, Theresa ( Larry ) Flowers, and Terry Hicks; nieces and nephews, Sean Hicks, Jonathan Hicks, Chad Lessard, Corey Cherry, Emily Lessard, Katey Hicks and Matthew Hicks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be at Holder Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point on Saturday September 4th from 10:00 until 12:00. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Jowers, and Rev. Leonard Pugh officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula. Pallbearers will be William Hicks, Chad Lessard, Champ Hicks, Terry Hicks, Gary Paul Allen and Mark Rodriquez. Honorary Pallbearers are Whaley Cherry, Corey Cherry, Larry Flowers, Duane Hicks, Bucky Hicks, Sonny, Lehman and Daniel Tanner, Dick Oberdiear, Scotty Tanner, George and Christopher Pipkins. The family sends a special "Thank You" to the Nurses on the NE ground floor at SRH and Dr. Quintana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at First Federal in care of Keith Hicks.
