Mr. Rodney Heywood Miles

Mr. Rodney Heywood Miles 86, of Moss Point, MS passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 in Moss Point, MS. He was born July 4, 1929 in Kreole, MS. He was a graduate of Moss Point High School where he played football and baseball. He played baseball while attending Perkinston Jr. College. He served in the United States Air Force as a fire fighter while stationed in Puerto Rico. He worked at International Paper Company Moss Point Mill and The United States Postal Service until his retirement. He loved all sports but his favorites were fishing, playing golf, and watching Football. Collecting cars, stamps and coins were a few of his hobbies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Leander (Buddy) Miles and Emma Grace Nehrig Miles, brother, Rufus Leander Miles Jr., wife, Jackie Randall Miles, and his second wife, Charline Miles, brother in law, Dr. Nick Nichols, sister in law, Barbara Miles, father in Law, Levi A. Randall, and mother in Law, Marguerite C. Randall. He is survived by his children, Mickey Miles (Tina Cowart), Mark Miles of Moss Point, MS, Robyn Miles Hawes (Stuart) of Pascagoula, MS, grandchildren, Brandon Miles, Corey Miles of Moss Point MS, and Hannah Rayborn of Pascagoula MS, brothers, Bill Miles of Johnsonville, SC, Fred Miles (Sue Ann) of Hurley, MS, Kenny Miles (Diana), and Jimmy Miles (Adell) of Moss Point, MS, sisters, Winifred Nichols of Mobile, AL and Frances Gautier (Earl) of Pascagoula, MS, brother in law, Steve Randall of Pascagoula, MS, sister in law, Darlene McGrew (Bob) of Mobile, AL., lifelong friend, Roland Harper, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Holder Wells Funeral Home Moss Point, MS. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS with Brother Todd Bowen officiating.
