Vessie Pinter

Mrs. Vessie Milling Pinter, 95, was born September 25, 1912 in Neshoba County, MS. She had resided on the Gulf Coast since 1952. Mrs. Pinter was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her handstiched quilts were given to all her grandhcilren at their marriages or graduations. Her love of flowers was evident in her beautiful well-kept yard. (Proverbs 31:22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.) She died September 5, 2008, after a lengthy illness at home where her son Charles W. Pinter had lovingly been her primary caregiver. Mrs. Pinter was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Ollie D. Pinter; son, Quinton Lance Pinter; parents, Ransel and Mary Milling; sister, Geneva Hillman; brother, William E. Miling; daughter in law, Opal Pinter. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Dean and Lamar Cole of Grand Bay, AL; sons and daughters in law, Charles W. Pinter of Moss Point, MS; Jim and Shirley Pinter of Helena, MS; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. One sister, Melba Hillman of Moss Point, MS; sisters in law, Ava Rudd, and Mrs. Hubert Pinter of Neshoba County MS; Christine Driskell of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, September 6th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Don Edeker and Rev.Anthony Cole officiating. A church service will be held at noon on Monday, September 7th at Congregational Methodist Church in Neshoba County, MS. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Michael Cole, Ronald Lamar Cole, Rev. Anthony Dewayne Cole, Rev. Mitchell Poole, Billy Wayne Pinter and Clay Pinter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Special thanks to Quality Hospice, nurse Debra Hall, and nurse assistant Linda Bryant.
