Betty Lou Webb Bjork

Betty Lou Bjork, 87 of Lucedale, MS passed away, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Lucedale. She was born Feb. 25, 1931 in Oklahoma. Her family later moved to Denver, Colorado where she grew up and married Glen Olin Bjork, Sr. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, Kindergarten teacher, and was always involved in her children’s school and church activities and was always promoting music and art to “all” of her children. She was well known for her Bible “chalk talk” stories for children and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was an experienced multi-tasker. She could cook supper, help with homework, iron, and make a grocery list all at the same time. She not only had eyes in the back of her head, but on the sides too and kept her family well fed, and in starched clothes and pillowcases. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, and friend to so many that came into her life. She loved easily. And graciously gave help and encouragement to everyone she knew. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Guinn and Ethel Webb, husband, Glen Olin Bjork, Sr., son, Glen Olin Bjork, Jr., granddaughter, Keya Yarbrough, sister, Hattie Webb. She is survived by her children, Michael Bjork, Karen Bjork Chesteen, grandchildren, Melanie McConnell Riley, Kimberly Rencher, Kelli Smrekar, Christian Bjork, Christy Elias, Claudia Bjork, Kai Bjork. Brother, Donald Webb and wife, Elaine, and sister in law, Anna Lee Cowley. Great-grandchildren, Noah Riley, Jordan Riley, Noah Thomas, Jonah Thomas, Drake Bjork, Alyssa Bjork, Zak Bjork, Zoe Bjork, Sierra Jones, Kai Parker, Darian Morrow, Maleya Marlow, John Salem Elias and Ayden Bjork. Great-great-grandchildren, Morgan Ross, and Enzo Westbrook. Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 from 12-2:00 P.M. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rodney Coleman and Bro. Brad Howard officiating. Burial will be at Griffin Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all of their church family and friends for the touching messages of love and condolence they have provided us at this time.
