Maude Lennep Eady

Maude Lennep Eady, 85, of Hickory and formerly of Lake Ave. Pascagoula, MS, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, October 25, 2010 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care in Valdese, NC Mrs. Eady was born August 31, 1925 in Washington Parish, Bogalusa, LA to the late Alfred H. Harvey and Eliza Ruth Dearman Harvey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband’s; Douglas L. Lennep and Herschel Herman Eady and a son in law; Milas William Houston. She was a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church in Hickory and a former member of Parkway Baptist Church in Moss Point, MS, she retired from Ingalls Shipyard. Survivors include a daughter; Rita Lennep Houston of Hickory, NC, a son; Jerry Tyrone Lennep and wife Wanda of Moselle, MS, two grandsons; Douglas W. Houston and wife Nellie Diane of Fayetteville, NC and Ronald E. Houston and wife Frankie of Taylorsville, NC, four granddaughters; Tracey L. Mardis and husband Kevin, April L. May and husband Mike all of Lucedale, MS., Leslie L. Guilbert and husband Scott of Manchester, NH, Amanda L. Hall and husband Harvey of Moselle, MS, five great granddaughters; Ashley H. Floyd and husband Kurt of Hickory, NC, Heather, Mirianda and Rebekah Mardis all of Lucedale, MS, Katelyn Hall of Moselle, MS, two great grandsons; Justin and Joshua May both of Lucedale, MS, a brother; George Harvey and wife Bobbie of Angie, LA, a step son; Jerry Eady and wife Mary of Longview, TX, two step daughters; Joyce Sclease and husband Jon of Pascagoula, MS and Barbara Morgan Grand of Bay, AL and a number of step grandchildren. A celebration of Maude Lennep Eadys life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS with the Rev. Jerry Lennep officiating. The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Macphelah Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, N.C. 28690.
