Virginia Etoile Parker

Virginia Etoile Brown Parker, 93, of Wade, Mississippi, passed away June 16, 2010,from the arms of her loving family to the loving arms of her Lord. Mrs. Parker was born December 1, 1916, in Agricola, Mississippi, the daughter of late Jennie and Frank Brown. On December 23, 1937, she married Robin C. Parker, in Harleston, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church for 72 years. Her interests included family, gardening, sewing and reading. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. Her most favorite event each year was Salem Camp Meeting where she enjoyed feeding and visiting with family and friends all week long. She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 72 years Robin C. Parker. Three children, Carolyn (Larry) Davis, Eloise (Eual) Adkison, Elton (Rhonda) Parker. Grandchildren, Deborah (Charles) Parker, Cynthia Duiett, Vondal (John) Overstreet, Stephanie (Lionel) Dale, Vinson (Deonna) Adkison, Jennie (Jody) Goff, Rob R. Parker, Celeste, Kent (Melanie) and Chad Barlow. Great-Grandchildren, Angela Allemand, Laura (Chris) Smith, Stacey Overstreet, Raymond and Ryan Duiett, Rachel and Charles Jr. Parker, Corey and Lilly Adkison, Jesse and Sara Dale, Samuel and Parker Goff, Olivia, Kylie, Morgan, Ken and Mason Barlow. Very special nieces, nephews, other relatives and faithful friends. Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A homegoing celebration will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Johnny Crosby, Rev. Gill White and Rev. Brian Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Oakgrove Cemetery in Wade. Pallbearers are Vinson Adkison, Rob Parker, Jody Goff, Lionel Dale, Charles Parker, and John Overstreet. Honorary Pallbearers are Myrl Goff, Jerald Goff, Wayne Goff, Benny Brown, Calvin Moore, Craig Nelson, John Riley and Chad Barlow. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Camelia Home Health and Hospice, 4211 Hospital Rd, Pascagoula, MS 39581 or Salem United Methodist Church, 2900 Salem Campground Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452.
